What are You Grateful for?

One of my goals is to end each day with gratitude.  I have this beautiful, purple journal someone gave me as a gift, and I began using it as a gratitude journal.  However, I've been forgetting to write in it each evening as I wind down for sleep, finding myself too tired from the day to even write before bedtime.  So, I "recalibrated" myself and decided that TODAY I would BEGIN my day with gratitude instead.  What follows is a list of 12 things that I am grateful for TODAY.  In my journal, I wrote:

"Today I want to begin my day with GRATITUDE.  So, today I am grateful for the following:

  • I am grateful to have plenty of healthy food to eat.
  • I am grateful to have the opportunity now and this spring time to GROW my own vegetables MINI-GARDEN.
  • I am grateful for the Jobs FOR Life and Next Steps programs and for all the people involved and associated with it; the leaders, the champions, and all the participants!
  • I am grateful for the last few dollars in my bank account.
  • I am grateful for transportation, whether it be my car, or bus or foot.
  • I am grateful for JESUS CHRIST of NAZARETH; He is My Hero!
  • I am grateful for the "Dinner Meal Messages" from Revelations of Jesus Christ dot com and You Tuber.
  • I am grateful for the 21-Day Daniel Fast, and the things I learned or practiced from it (I am also grateful for the people who either taught me that fasting is necessary (valued by Christ) and/or who taught me how to do a fast).
  • I am grateful for my NKJV Holy Bible (my New King James Version leather engraved large-print Bible).
  • I am grateful for my everlasting friendship with "my brother from another mother."
  • I am grateful for the LORD'S graciousness, compassion, and mercy towards me.
  • I am grateful that He (God/The LORD) calls me chosen, faithful, and true...He calls me beloved...and He calls me overcomer." (If He says these things about me, then I will believe what He says about me is true.  Amen.)
I heard it said somewhere that gratitude changes the brain's pathways and chemistry.  If that is true, then why not begin every day with gratitude?

I'd love it if you left me a comment stating what are YOU grateful for today?
