Good morning family and friends, loved ones near and far, people I know in real life and also to ones I've met online,
How are you and how have you been? I hope and pray this blog post finds you well! I hope and pray that the Holy Spirit (also called by some the Rue Ok Ha Ko Desh) is filling you and blessing you and leading and guiding your life in all areas; for me as well!!
This morning, Sunday morning, makes (or marks) a highlightable moment for me. Last week I made a decision to intentionally set aside 30 minutes (or more) a week, first thing in the morning, for prayer and worship with my God. Let me tell you this, I've been having a blast doing so! I continually "met with God" every morning from Monday this past week even until today (Sunday). I cannot tell you how happy I am to do this. Yes, I love placing a little sticker in my day planner to "check off" (or acknowledge) that I did this. (But, the joy of spending time with my Creator is just wonderful and empowering).
How about you? I know we all have busy lives and different lots in life at the moment; some of you are way more advanced than me and you have every moment of the day in communion with God. Yaye you! Maybe some of you are desiring to spend time with God the Creator of the universe; well, let me encourage you today to do so, go spend time with God for it will be the most important thing you could ever do.
That was my introduction to what I was hoping to share today. In my morning time today, a song came that I would like to share with you. Then, hopefully share a scripture of where it comes from. I'm not sure after that of what I'll write about. I hope you enjoy this post and The Creator.
///Search my heart...look deep within my soul...see if there be...anything at all...that might keep me from loving You...keep me from hearing You...keep me from loving You, dear Lord///
Way back in the late 80s I heard this song sung in one of the worship church services. I have no idea if it was ever "published" or not? I have no idea who sung it, who wrote it, and so on. But, the melody and the words stuck with me even 40 years later! (That's why I like to say they can not take away the songs and melodies we have learned from youth; hallelujah praise the Lord Jesus Christ always!)
The song writer is asking the Lord for help to be in right standing before Him; if there is any sin in our lives, known or unknown, we should confess it before Him, for He wants us to live holy and righteous lives before Him. We cooperate with the Lord to confess our sin of the pride of life, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eye (as written in the New Testament).
I found a beautiful version of this in God's word here:
Psalm 139:23-24
1599 Geneva Bible
23 Try me, O God, and know mine heart: prove me and know my thoughts,
24 And consider if there be any [a]way of wickedness in me, and lead me in the [b]way forever.
Do you know 1 John 1:9 my friend? If we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and lead us into all righteousness. Is that not a glorious promise from God?
What does Hebrews 12:1-2 say? Does the author not remind us to put off everything that hinders and so easily entangles, and to run our race of faith with freedom? Our freedom is found in none other than in Christ himself. See if the Son sets you free then you are free indeed.
Thank you for reading this blog; I hope you were blessed. Continue your relationship with the Creator God, the One True God of the universe, the Father of Lights and the Light of the world. I agape love you in Jesus Christ (of Nazareth). Keep the faith. Never ever ever ever ever EVER give up!
