Do you love the Lord? Lord willing a part 4 is coming. God wants our hearts. God desires our obedience. We have free will and a free choice to obey or not to obey Him. He is absolutely so worthy of our praise! There is no sin too big and no sin too far gone that can't be forgiven by Jesus. The gift of God's love is a free gift, and John 6:37 says that Jesus will in no way reject (cast out or cast away) any who come to Him. (Go read it for yourself).
It is very important for us to rightly divide the word of truth. If we have tasted of the Lord's goodness but then rejected Him, we put ourselves onto a road that is dangerous and despairing. Let the hand of Jesus extend be seen and give your yes in your heart to Jesus Christ of Nazareth today.
We all deserve wrath and judgment for our sin; for our bad behavior towards God, towards others, and towards ourselves. That is exactly why we need a Saviour! Let the words of Christ and the word of God wash over you afresh and anew today. One of my college friend's mom used to have on her answering machine message, "Remember Jesus loves you and He came to set you free!" I can't tell you how many times I would call my friend's home, and hear her mom's sweet voice saying those words; so that now, I can recite them by memory.
The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. If we confess and renounce our sins, that is, tell Jesus the wrongs we have done, and then we stop doing them, we will find mercy, compassion and grace. Let's hear the voice of the Good Shepherd saying to our hearts, "Monica (or insert your name here), go and sin no more."
Let's remember 1 John 1:9 when we do sin (unintentionally) and confess our sins to the One who is Faithful and Just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness; amen. Let's remember that we ARE HIS WORKMANSHIP, created in Christ Jesus FOR GOOD WORKS (Ephesians 2:10) and let's go out and do them (being a do-er of the Word as in James). What good works are you doing today? For me, I randomly pass out gospel tracts (sowing seed). Truthfully, I could (probably) be doing more for Christ and His Kingdom. (((Dear Jesus, please help me!)))
Now is time "for the things of this world", such as my job, taking a shower, eating, going to the gym, taking a nap, and going to my second job, for example. These are all what I call "things of this world" but they are things that I do need to attend to (and the Lord knows we have responsibilities to take care of). (((Help me dear Lord Jesus Christ to live a life worthy of Your calling, I ask and pray in Jesus Christ's name; amen.)))
Thank you for reading my blog post today. May Jesus Christ richly bless you as you seek first always the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33). Amen. Hallelujah, praise the Lord Jesus Christ always!
