Ecumenism, what is it? Universalism, what is that? The best way I could describe these terms, ecumenism, and universalism, are that they teach that all religions have something good to offer, and that it is beneficial to agree or adopt their positions.
Ecumenicsm says let's all religions be united; universalism says all roads lead to God. Briefly, we should not align ourselves with any religion just for the sake of "unity." Just as oil and water do not mix, neither do light and dark belong together. Be careful not to align yourself with false doctrine, false teaching, or anything or anyone that does not declare Jesus came in the flesh (see 1 John).
Remember, in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." Let those words of Jesus sink deeply into you, your being, and your spirit!
Jesus Himself claims that He and He alone is the way, the truth, and the life. Are you going to believe the words of the what the world tells you, or what the words of Jesus, the Son of God, tell you? I encourage you today my friend, to let the words of Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone mold and formulate your life's perspective. Do not allow yourself to be manipulated or influenced by the world, the world systems, or by any of the lies that the world tries to throw at you.
You were created and formed in God's image (read Genesis 3 and/or Psalms 139). God has a special plan and purpose for you life. Stay on the Jesus-road, do not align yourself with those who think all religions combined together is okay and even admirable. (Remember what God did in the Old Testament in Genesis 11 when the people started creating the first new world order~destruction of the Tower of Babel because the people were worshipping evil.)
In John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." Let those words of Jesus sink in to you TODAY, into your being, afresh and anew into your spirit today.
With Love,
A Sister in Christ,
