Scriptures to Think on When Facing Fear

A few verses that come to mind when dealing with fear.  I'll try to add more verses later.  If you have fear of anything, the things coming out from the media, and what not, please know that you can overcome your fear, with the blood of the lamb, the word of your testimony, and by not loving your life even unto death.

How to Overcome Fears:

1. Admit your fear.  Don't try to hide or deny that you feel fear.  By admitting your fear, puts you in a place of honesty and humility before the Saviour.  A broken and contrite spirit He will not despise.

2.  Tell God your fears.  Cast all your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you.  1 Pet 4:7

3.  The Great Exchange.  Lord I give You my fears; in exchange I receive Your peace that surpasses all understanding.  Please give me hope afresh that You care for me and that You are for me, not against me, because of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Emmanuel God with us.

4.  Remember, greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.  If you have given your life to Christ, and have accepted into your life as Saviour, then He's inside of you and is bigger than any problem or life situation facing you at the moment.

5.  He will keep in perfect peace he whose mind is fixed on thee.  Remember, keep your eyes on Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today and forever.  He promises to keep us in his peace as we do our part to keep our minds focused on him.  If we get off track, as soon as we remember to we put our hearts and minds back again on God's Word, on God's truth.  Tell ourselves the scriptures.

6.  For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and of sound mind.  Remember, God wants us to have faith in him and in his Son Jesus Christ!  Remember, I do believe, help my unbelief!  Even a small amount of faith in Christ can go a long way.  God knows us and He understands us.  God will carry us through any storm or life situation as we do our part (to have faith in Him); God is a faithful God who wants to show Himself strong to those whose hearts are completely His.

7.  Have you felt far away from God lately?  Our King is one prayer away.  Remember, the kingdom of God is at hand.  Repent and believe the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ! Remember the parable of the lost son recorded in Luke 15.  That boy came to his senses, and, Lord-willing we can too.  Cry out to Jesus Christ today.  Remember Samuel's mom who poured out her heart before the Lord when she had been unable to conceive; God heard her prayer and granted her Samuel.

I'm sure there are other verses in the Bible that discuss fear and how we are to handle fear.  Maybe you could do your own word study and see for yourself.  God wants to help you as you face fears in your life.  I hope these verses were a help to anyone reading this.  Keep fighting the good fight of faith!

A Light in the Darkness

Not last night, but maybe the night before,I had a dream.  A semi-dark dream.  First, I will do my best to recall the dream.  Then, at the end, I will speak what my thoughts on the dream are, at the moment.

The Dream

I was standing in a line, side by side, with others.  There were around 10 or so of us.  Our role was to greet people as they walked by, presumably to enter in to a church fellowship gathering.  It was dark, as if the lights had been turned off, or like by dim light.  One lady came up to me and gave me a big long hug; and she said something to the effect of "I'm sorry".  Or, maybe I said that to her; I'm not sure.  But, she embraced me for a long time, and then I started weeping and crying.  I didn't know that I felt so deeply saddened.  Her name was Becky.  I was deeply sorrowful over the old church (Anaheim Vineyard) being taken over and stolen by the new church (Dwelling Place) and in that hug, had allowed myself to grieve, unknowingly.

Next, in the dream I walked over to another area.  I sat down and had one girl, around age 8-10 years old sitting with me.  Then another young girl came, and another.  So I was teaching or explaining something to the small group of girls.  And, when I looked over to my right, there were more little girls lined up, sitting down, wanting to join in and engage or listen to our group.

Another person was bringing me a kind of baton, or long pole, like the kind you might use for drill team in flags, or like a shower curtain type of pole.  As they handed it to me, I let the girls hold onto them, including the girls in front of me, as well as the girls to the side of our group.  I wanted them to feel included, and a part of whatever was going on.

It was kind of dark all around us, but I felt like I was probably speaking words of life or words of hope or words of truth; maybe the words of Jesus, I'm not sure.  But, the little girls were eagerly listening.

A Few Thoughts

I think God allowed me to feel the deep grief and anguish many people feel and have felt from the pain of their home church being torn away from the Vineyard movement.  And, God wants to comfort them during this time.  Becky gave me a very long hug as I wept and began to weep; Becky name meaning is "to tie firmly" or "to bind".  It could also mean "captivated" or "captivating", or "snare".  Interesting.  The original Vineyard is going through a tough time right now, having their church home stolen in secret under the guise of "God told us to do it" by the new leadership (wolves in sheep's clothing?).

Even though darkness is all around us, and getting worse, there will be pockets of light and hope through God's servants, workers in his end times.  There will be young ones who will or want to listen.  Keep speaking truth to those who would hear. God may be raising me up to be young girls' leader.

If you have any thoughts or insights into my dream, feel free to share on my youtube or facebook page. Thanks and may Jesus Christ bless anyone reading this now.

The Parable of the Lost Son

Luke 15: 11-32

Then He said: " A certain man had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.' So he divided to them his livelihood.  And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want.  Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.  And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that when swine ate, and no one gave him anything.  But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants." And he arose a and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight and am no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said to his servants Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry. Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. so he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, "your brother has come and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.  But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. So he answered and said to his father, Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends.  But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him. And he said to him, son oyo you are always with me. and all that i  have is yours it was right that we should make merry and be glad for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.

Trying to Interpret one of my dreams

In my dream recently (this past week),  I was walking into a small group meeting.  There was a women sitting next to me, who in real life I had known as "Betty".  Sitting across from me was a "guest speaker".  And, there were a few others in the room, as well as a few empty seats.

When the guest speaker began speaking, I welled up with tears in my eyes.  I don't recall now, nor in the dream, what exactly he was speaking.  But, I sensed based on my reaction of tears, that he was speaking something good, something truthful, something helpful, something relevant.  I perceived his words as "words of life" and/or words "dripping with honey".  They were edifying words, whatever they were.

Then there was a break, possibly a lunch time.  Then, I was at the other end of the building, and waiting for a tram to give us a ride back to the building where the meeting was being held.  But, there was a delay because the tram had broken down so we had to walk back.  One of the brothers was there, one that I know in real life as "Rodney".  So, the group of us proceeded to walk back and I needed to stop to use restroom.

I was waiting to use the restroom, then my turn came to use available stall.  And dream ended as I rushed to hurry for the second half of the meeting (gathering, or whatever it was).

I've been reflecting on this dream, and wondering if the Lord is speaking to me through it, and if so, what?  I believe the guest speaker was an angel, or messenger of God type person, based on how his words were powerful enough to move me to good tears.  Betty is a name that means oath of God, my God is plentiful, God is my oath, God is abundance, or my God is an oath.  Rodney name meaning is "Roda's island, or island near the clearing, island of reeds; could also mean the dweller near the cross, or famous one.

Scriptures that come to mind:

John 6:68 But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

Psalm 119:103-105  How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! (104) Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. (105) Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (20) Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I hope I can help make the name of Jesus famous one last time; being close to the foot of the cross and/or bring others close to the foot of the cross.  I would like to be like the guest speaker in the room, speaking words of life in Christ's name and in His authority; words of life that bring transformation, redemption, and/or salvation and deliverance to souls.  Strengthening the body and/or catching the lost with my words.

Are You Regularly Seeking the Lord through Prayer AND FASTING?

Dear Reader, Dear Friend,

Thank you for stopping by my blog.  I really appreciate you taking the time to read what is written here.  If this is your first time stopping by then I'd like to wish you a "warm welcome".  And, if this is your 100th time visiting me her, then I welcome you as well.

Today I wanted to share a little bit about fasting and prayer.  Last week I was fasting and praying with some others, and I did a one meal a day type of fast.  I felt hunger, but nothing too crazy.  I consider myself to be relatively new to fasting.  During that fast, I made some spiritual goals.  Actually, the purpose of that fast was to collectively, as a body, pray against the weather weaponry used against various places (think Maui and DEWs as an example).

This week I was listening to a teaching and was invited to join them in on prayer and fasting.  So I chose to do a 24 hour fast this time, water only.  That went from around 12 noon yesterday (Tues. Aug. 22, 2023) until around noon today (Wednesday).

I think if I can do it, then anyone can do it (fasting).  But, if we have special needs, we can modify our fast to fit our special needs.  I had a handful of goals in my fast this time.  My goals were to soak and saturate in the presence of Christ, continue reading in book of Exodus, intercessory prayer for family and friends as God led me, and for crying out "Maranatha; the spirit and the bride say 'come'".  I was actually along the way also, led to a video by Derek Prince related to fasting, about 8 minutes long.  So, I am going to share with you the verses he mentioned in his video.  And, if I remember, I will attach the link to the video.

What is Fasting?  "Fasting is voluntarily abstaining from food for spiritual purposes."

Example-Jesus fasted 40 days and 40 nights from food before his ministry.

Mt 4:1- 2 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. (2) And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.

Fasting was regularly practiced throughout the Bible.

What is the purpose of fasting?  The purpose of fasting is to humble oneself, self-humbling.

New Testament Scriptures on Fasting:

Matt 18:4  Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greates in the kingdom of heaven.

Matt 23:12 And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Jms 4:10  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

1 Pet 5:6  Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

God's People humbled themselves:

Ps 35:13  But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled myself with fasting; and my prayer would return to my own heart.

Ezra 8:21-23  Then  I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions. (22) For I was ashamed to request of the king an escort of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy on the road, because we had spoken to the king, saying, "The hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.  (23) So we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer.

Lev 16:29-31  This shall be a statute forever for you: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether a native of your own country or a stranger who dwells among you. (30) For on that day the priest shall make atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the Lord. (31) It is a sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you shall afflict your souls. It is a statute forever.

Yom Kippur=Day of atonement; a day of humbling your souls, fasting, and/or denying self.

Acts 27:9 Now when much time had been spent, and siling was now dangerous because the Fast was already over, Paul advised them,

(Note: end of Sept/Oct is Day of atonement, also known as the Fast)

Summary~

Fasting is God's way or avenue of blessing his people; through humility of fasting.

Now that you've read these things, blessed are you if/who do them.

Do You Have a Reverent Fear of the Lord?

Introducion-

Originally I watched one of the videos online (source cited below) and gathered the scriptures from that video.  Thanks to brothers Savio and Vivian for doing the leg-work.  This post is primarily a compilation of those verses on the fear of the Lord, with my own personal flavor (style) added into , also.  This is kind of a long study, so pace yourself.  Pause if you need to, grab a cup of hot tea or water, and enjoy.  I hope an pray that this post will fall on softened hearts that of people who have a desire for the Lord; the One True Living God, the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob.

Author's Note:  Word doc of this post available upon request; just sent me an email and I will do my best to reply in timely manner.

The Reverant Fear of the Lord

Source:  https://www.youtube

Source:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61yCINxuAJU

Introduction-

Do you have the fear of the Lord?  What does it mean to fear the Lord?  Do you have a desire to learn what it  means to properly fear the Lord?  Is it a good thing to fear the Lord?

In Savio and Vivian’s video, they discuss different aspects of the fear of the Lord.  They present their ideas all from the Scriptures, the Holy Word of God.  I have taken the scripture references from their video presentation /teaching, and made my own study notes.

I share these with anyone out there in hopes of pointing him/ her/ and myself to the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  It is my hope that we all develop and grow in a healthy, proper, biblical fear of the Lord ASAP/ today.

Hosea 4:6 “My people have perished for lack of knowledge.  Because you have rejected knowledge I reject you from being priest for Me.  Since you have forgotten the Torah of your Elohim, I also forget your children.

Proverbs 1:7  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.

The FEAR of the LORD:

Psalms 33:8  Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

2 Chronicles 16:9  “For the eyes of the Lord diligently search throughout all the earth, to show Himself to be strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect to Him.  You have acted foolishly in this, so from now on you shall have battles.”

Psalms 145:18-19  The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.  (19) He does the desire of those who fear Him; and He hears their cry and saves them.

Psalms 25:14  The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him.  And He makes His covenant known to them.

Psalms 111: 5 (a)  He has given food to those who fear Him

Matthew 4:4  But He answering, said, “It has been written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” “

Romans 14:17  For the reign of Elohim is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Set-apart Spirit.

Psalms 111: 5 (b)  He remembers His covenant forever.

Spiritual GIFTS Received from the FEAR of the LORD:

Isaiah 11:1-3  And a Rod shall come forth from the stump of Yishai, and a Sprout from his roots shall be fruitful.  (2) The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him-the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord (3) and shall make Him breathe in the fear of the Lord.  And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears.

Proverbs 2:3-5   For if you cry for discernment, lift up your voice for understanding, (4) if you seek her as silver, and search for her as hidden treasures, (5) then you would understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of Elohim.

(Sidenote-read Sirach because it’s full of wisdom)

Proverbs 9:10  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Set-apart One is understanding.

Isaiah 33: 6  And He shall be the trustworthiness of your times, a wealth of deliverance, wisdom, and knowledge.  The fear of the Lord-that is His treasure.

Prov 1:7  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.

Psalm 111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, all those doing them have a good understanding.  His praise is standing forever.

Luke 1:50  “And His compassion is from generation to generation, to those who fear Him.

BLESSINGS come from having the FEAR of the LORD:

Deut 6:24  And the Lord commanded us to do all these laws, to fear the Lord our Elohim, for our good always, to keep us alive, as it is today.

Ps 115:13  He blesses those who fear the Lord, the small and the great.

Ps 112:1 Praise Yah!  Blessed is the man, who fears the Lord, who has greatly delighted in His commands.

1 Jn 5:3  For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy.

Pr 14:26-27  In the fear of the Lord is strong trust, and His children have a place of refuge.  (27) The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn away from the snares of death.

Ps 25:12-13  Who, then, is the man that fears the Lord?  He teaches him in the way he should choose.  (13) His life dwells in good, and his seed inherits the earth.

Spiritual and Physical HEALING come from the FEAR of the LORD:

Prov 3:7-8  Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil.  (8) It is healing to your navel, and moistening to your bones.

Mal 4:2  “But to you who fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings.  And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall.

The PROTECTION of the Lord from the FEAR of the LORD:

Psalm 34:7  The messenger of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and rescues them.

Pr 19:23 The fear of the Lord leads to life, and he remains satisfied, he is not visited by evil.

Ps 115:11  You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord, He is their help and their shield.

Ps 34:9  Fear the Lord, you His set-apart ones, for there is no lack to them who fear Him!

The FEAR of the LORD keeps us from EVIL:

Prov 8:13  The fear of the Lord is to hate evil.  I have hated pride and arrogance, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

Job 28:28 And He said to man, “See, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom and to turn from evil is understanding.”

HOLINESS Comes from the FEAR of the LORD:

1 Pet 1: 14-17  as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts in your ignorance, (15) instead, as the One who called you is set-apart, so you also should become set-apart in all behaviour, (16) because it has been written, “Be set-apart, for I am set-apart.” (17) And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear,

2 Cor 7:1 Having, then, these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of the flesh and spirit, perfecting set-apartness in the fear of Elohim.

Ps 96:9  Bow yourselves to the Lord, in the splendour of set-apartness!  Tremble before Him, all the earth.(((MVPs 96:4  For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised, He is to be feared above all mighty ones.MV)))

3 Different TYPES of FEAR:

  • Religious Fear

  • The fear of man (others)

  • General fear

Verses related to RELIGIOUS FEAR

Mt 15: 7-9  “Hypocrites!  Yeshayahu rightly prophesied about you, saying, (8) ‘This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.  (9) But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men.’ “

Is 29: 13-14  And the Lord says, “Because this people has drawn near with its mouth, and with its lips they have esteemed Me, and it has kept its heart far from Me, and their fear of Me has become a command of men that is taught!  (14) Therefore, see, I am again doing a marvellous work among this people, a marvellous work and a wonder.  And the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their clever men shall be hidden.”

Genesis 22:1-12 (real worship)

  1. And it came to be after these events that Elohim tried Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!”  And he said, “Here I am.”

  2. And He said, “Take your son now, your only son Yitshaq, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriyah, and offer him there as an ascending offering on one of the mountains which I command you.”

  3. And Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Yitshaq his son.  And he split the wood for the ascending offering, and arose and went to the place which Elohim had commanded him.

  4. And on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place from a distance.

  5. So Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey while the boy and I go over there and worship, and come back to you.”

  6. And Abraham took the wood of the ascending offering and laid it on Yitshaq his son.  And he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together.

  7. And Yitshaq spoke to Abrahamhis father and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” And he said, “See, the fire and the wood!  But where is the lamb for an ascending offering?”

  8. And Abraham said, “My son, Elohim does provide for Himself the lamb for an ascending offering.”  And the two of them went together.

  9. And they came to the place which Elohim had commanded him, and Abraham built a slaughter-place there and placed the wood in orfer.  And he bound Yitshaq his son and laid him on the slaughter-place, upon the wood.

  10. And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son,

  11. But the Messenger of the Lord called to him from the heavens and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.”

  12. And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy, nor touch him.  For now I know that you fear Elohim, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only  son, from Me.”

  13. And Abraham lifted his eyes and looked and saw behind him a ram caught in a bush by its horns, and Araham went and took the ram and offered it up for an ascending offering instead of his son.

  14. And Abraham called the name of the place, “The Lord Yireh,” as it is said to this day, “On the mountain the Lord provides.”

  15. And the Messenger of the Lord called to Abraham a second time from the heavens,

  16. And said, “By Myself I have sworn, declares the Lord, because you have done this, and have not withheld your son, your only son,

  17. That I shall certainly bless you, and I shall certainly increase your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore, and let your seed possess the gate of their enemies.

  18. “And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

  19. Then Abraham returned to his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba.  And Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.

  20. And it came to be after these events that it was reported to Abraham, saying, “See, Milkah too has borne children to your brother Nahor:

  21. “Uts his first-bon, and Buz his brother, and Qemuel the father of Aram,

  22. And Kesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Yidlaph, and Bethuel.”

  23. And Bethuel brought forth Ribqah.  These eight Milkah bore to Nahor, Abraham’s brother.

  24. And his concubine, whose name was Reuwmah, also bore Tebah, and Gaham, and Tahash, and Maakah.

Verses on the FEAR of MAN (other people)

Pr 29:25 The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is set on high.

Mt 10:28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the being.  But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both being and body in GeHinnom.

GENERAL FEAR

Rom 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

2 Tim 1:7  For Elohim has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power and of love and of self-control.

Duet 10: 12-13  “And now, Yisrael, what is the Lord your Elohim asking of you, but to fear the Lord your Elohim, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being, (13) to guard the commands of the Lord and His laws which I command you today for your good?

Eccl 12: 13-14  Let us hear the conclusion of the entire matter:  Fear Elohim and guard His commands, for this applies to all mankind!  (14)  For Elohim shall bring every work into right-ruling, including all that is hidden, whether good or whether evil.

Phil 2: 12-13  So that, my beloved, as you always obeyed-not only in my presence, but now much rather in my absence-work out your own deliverance with fear and trembling. (13) for it is Elohim who is working in you both to desire and to work for His good pleasure.

Heb 12: 25-29  Take heed not to refuse the One speaking.  For if those did not escape who refused the warning on earth, much less we who turn away from Him from heaven, (26) whose voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also the heaven.”  (27) And this, “Yet once more,” makes clear the removal of what is shaken-as having been made-so that the unshaken matters might remain. (28) Therefore, receiving an unshakeable reign, let us hold the favour, through which we serve Elohim pleasingly with reverence and awe, (29) for indeed, our Elohim is a consuming fire.

Heb 10:26-31 For if we sin purposely after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a slaughter offering for sins, (27) but some fearsome anticipation of judgment, and a fierce fire which is about to consume the opponents.  (28) Anyone who has disregarded the Torah of Mosheh dies without compassion on the witness of two or three witnesses.  (29) How much worse punishment do you think shall he deserves who has trampled the Son of Elohim underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was set apart as common, and insulted the Spirit of favour? (30) For we know Him who has said, “Vengeance is Mine, I shall repay, says the Lord.” And again, “The Lord shall judge His people.”  (31) It is fearsome to fall into the hands of the living Elohim.

Deut 21: 18-21 When a man has a wayward and rebellious son who is not listening to the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, when they have disciplined him, does not listen to them, (19) then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city, to the gate of his city, (20) and shall say to the elders of his city, “this son of ours is wayward and rebellious.  He is not listening to our voice, he is a glutton and a drunkard.’  (21) Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones.  Thus you shall purge the evil fromyour midst.  And let all Yisrael hear, and fear.

1 Pet 4: 1-5 Therefore, since Messiah suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with he same mind, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, (2) so that he no longer lives the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but according to the desire of Elohim.  (3) For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the desire of the nation, having walked in indecencies, lusts, drunkenness, orgies, wild parties, and abominable idolatries, (4) in which they are surprised that you do not run with them in the same flood of loose behaviour, blaspheming, (5) who shall give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

1 Jn 4: 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear holds punishment, and he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

2 Cor 5: 10-11 For we all have to appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, in order for each one to receive according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. (11) Knowing, therefore, the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we have been made manifest to Elohim, and I also trust in your consciences to have been manifested.
